Photography was born in the mid-19th Century, and ever since has captured the imaginations of people the world over. Besides inspiring the development of the motion picture, photography also played a part in leading the Impressionists to abandon naturalistic painting. Photography's influence runs deep, especially in it's unrivaled ability to capture a moment in time, often to powerfully moving effect.
