In the mid-1600s in New York City in what is now known as Lower Manhattan, citizens built a strong wall as a defense against marauding Indians and British armies. The wall was taken down by the British in 1699, but the path that it followed is now called "Wall Street." It became a financial center in the late 1800s when speculators would gather there under a large tree to discuss finances and do some light trading.
Wall Street posters and financial posters are numerous and they include romantic scenes, political and financial commentary, humor, and history. Browse the Wall Street section on barewalls.com. Perhaps you'll find the perfect gift for the financier in your life.
