In today's culture of pop icons and rock and roll, when one hears the phrase "Red Hot Chili Peppers," those spicy hot south-of-the-border peppers are not usually the first things to come to mind. Rather, we tend to recall the famous rock band formed in 1983 in Los Angeles, California, which offered a variety of musical styles, from rock and funk to heavy metal.
