"Children at play" has long been a favorite subject of painters and photographers. A child's innocence combined with his or her unadulterated exuberance and joy can brighten the most boring space. Artist Norman Rockwell is particularly well-known for his delightful portrayal of kids and their antics. His pictures often graced the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. Mary Cassatt is another popular painter whose works "Children Playing on the Beach" and "Breakfast in Bed" are much loved.
Besides the pictures about children, there are also some great posters and prints for children. Painter Simon Hart and artists at Disney have captured the colors and fantasies of childhood and produced them in works that any child would happily keep in his room and in his heart.
