Completed in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge stretches nearly 6,000 feet across the East River, connecting Manhattan and Long Island in New York. In 1884, P. T. Barnum, to prove the bridge's strength and stability, marched 21 elephants across the bridge. It's one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world and has become an endearing part of the New York skyline. Many famous photographers -- including Dmitri Kessel and Henri Silberman -- have taken striking photos of this amazing span, making bridge posters highly sought-after art pieces.
