The oceans of the earth are really one continuous body of water that covers 71% of the globe. The world ocean is divided by name into five regional bodies of water: Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Southern Ocean.
The ocean is home for a flourishing new industry as deep sea treasure hunters search for riches. The floors of the ocean -- in some places as deep as 9800 feet -- are littered with history: the hull of the Titanic, the fuselages of crippled WWII airplanes, and the remnants of long-ago civilizations.
